Back in the day homeownership was the norm – peaking at 74% in the early 1990’s and perhaps this is why barely an eyebrow was raised as people moved, packed & shimmied their way across properties, towns and cities.  Maybe a glass was raised, a bunch of flowers sent or better still a good old-fashioned house warming knees up by way of celebration.  A house was just a house – one of life’s essential items with little appreciation of the treasure they would become - one to covet, crave and desire.

As the years roll by, picking the perfect gift can get ever more testing.  What to get the guy who has everything or the sister you have been buying gifts for since the beginning of time?!  It helps to give a little consideration to the definition of gift which can refer to any item or act of service that makes somebody else happier or at least a little less sad.  These favours are perfect to ask for forgiveness and express kindness although gifts are first and foremost presented on occasions such as birthdays and Christmas
