Valentine's Day Gifts for Men
Why oh why oh why....
Are men so hard to buy for. I mean we love them, we do, but shopping for them, not so much. We have just got over the angst of Christmas gifts and here is another headache inducing occasion to fret about, Valentine's Day.
My best and worst efforts over the years include a boxed set of The Wire (big win), rugby tickets (bigger win) and a beautiful plant delivered to the Mr B's office (big fat lose). In my defence, he had worked there for 3 years and it still looked like the movers hadn't unpacked and I thought a plant would cheer the place up a bit. Not my best ever purchasing decision.

Weddings and Anniversary Gifts
Did you know .....
That October, January, February and March are the most popular months for getting married in New Zealand which means that many of you must be celebrating an anniversary soon.
Anniversary gifts are notoriously difficult to buy - the traditional gifts of iron, copper and cotton are not exactly inspiring and the modern gifts of clocks, appliances and desk sets even less so. Without naming names, or throwing anyone under a bus, a friend of mine (you know who you are) gave his wife an electric blanket for their 1st Wedding Anniversary, and they got married in Summer. Happy New Year
Well that went quickly! Hard to believe the festive season is over for another year and it seemed to go more quickly than ever (or is that a sign of age!!)
We hope you all had a fantastic time with family and friends and are looking forward to the year ahead with optimism.
